Self Promotion Advertisement

For this project, we had to create an ad which showcased our work over the year.  I decided to include some of my favorite projects over this semester.

Avatars

We had to create an avatar or alternate persona for this project.  You'll notice that I used my favorite Asian lady again for this project because I only had one picture of myself to use.  I did not care for this project, although I am happy with the end result for the Asian lady avatar. 

I am not happy with this one, which I did a while ago.

Arcimboldo Inspired Piece

This project was inspired by Arcimboldo, a 16th century painter from Italy.  You can learn more about him by clicking here. My attempt to create a piece of art in Arcimboldo's style could have gone better.  I had trouble with the hair so I decided that "Pat" could just be bald.  I used various fruits and vegetables to create different facial features, such as tomatoes for cheeks and corn kernels for teeth.  This project was fun, albeit it difficult.

Color Wheel Number 2

This is another Color Wheel Stencil.  For this project, I took pictures of various eyes and then used the US Capitol Building as a stencil.  Then I picked some random picture of government surveillance to use as the background and I applied a gradient over it.  The overall message is hackneyed and a little cheesy, I think.
